Jeffrey Ramos, President

Jeffrey Headshot.jpg

My name is Jeffrey Ramos and I am honored to serve as your GSEHD Student Association President. I am currently in the Higher Education Administration program with a concentration in Student Affairs. Before coming to GW, I attended Berry College and earned my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. After graduating, I went back to my hometown, Dalton, GA, and taught 4th grade for two years. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with my students and being back in my hometown. However, I was attracted to Washington, DC and GSEHD because I knew the skills I gained here could really benefit my community when I decide to return. I have definitely taken advantage of several of the opportunities this city and our school has to offer. I encourage you to do the same throughout your time here!

As your president, I look forward to working alongside the rest of our Executive Board and ensuring that GSEHD students' voices are heard and represented. We all know that GSEHD has a grand variety of programs, interests, and student organizations. That diversity is a key to GSEHD's continued success. With this in mind, I believe it is critical to engage with and listen to all parties that make up our wonderful school.

My name is Christian List and I am your VP of Education and Outreach. I earned my bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida in 2010, majoring in Criminology with a minor in Leadership Studies. As a recent Navy veteran, I started the OLL master’s program in Fall 2018. As a deployment leader, tactics instructor, and program manager in the Navy, I am well oriented in the collaboration, processes, and determination required to fulfill abstract accomplishment and community integration. I am a lead-by-example type of person with a bottom-line-up-front personality focused on collaboration. I enjoy fostering great ideas and goals, while appreciating the lessons learned by trial and error. During my service in the Pacific region, I not only managed but created educational and learning programs for my command of approximately 300 Sailors.

My motivation for committing myself to the GSEHD SA is inlaid in my desire to forward the mutual success of any organization. I believe those motivated in fostering group goals will only make success contagious.I am excited for the opportunity to lead beside you all as we all progress through our collective vision for GW and the surrounding communities.

My name is  Rebecca Lynch and I am your VP of Communications. I am in my second year of the Higher Education Administration master's program, concentrating in policy and finance. I got my undergraduate education at The College of William and Mary, double-majoring in Psychology and English and graduating in 2016. Since then I have worked full-time in the Student Employment office within GW's Center for Career Services. I also participate in a working group looking at issues of financial wellness in GW's student population. I am interested in topics related to student financial literacy and how that contributes to retention, completion, and overall student lifelong success across different university types.

As a lifelong believer in the myriad benefits of serving others, I look forward to serving you alongside the rest of this year's executive board. I welcome your feedback as myself and the rest of the board strive to be the GSEHD SA that you want to see!

I believe that people learn more from one another in casual social settings more than in strict academic situations, I will make sure that there many occasions for us to meet, greet, exchange ideas and flourish in a spirit of harmony, in unique settings, with great food to keep us company.
